Use the Interim Progress page to add grades, attendance, or comments for reporting the student's Interim Progress information for the marking period and run. Information entered on the this page will be reported on the student's interim progress report. If you selected to create an individual IPR date, the title of the page displays as Individual IPR. For a definition of interim progress, refer to About Interim Progress Reports (IPRs).
Header information identifies the class of students for which you are viewing or entering interim progress information.
The interim progress list includes student information and interim progress columns in which you can enter grades, comments, or attendance information for the students. The list of students is sorted in alphabetical order by student name. Information for the students enrolled during the current marking period displays when you open the page.

Click to switch to Multiple mode to enter IPR information for the courses that meet in the period. When you are in Multiple mode, this button has a blue background. This option only displays if you teach multiple courses in the same period. |

Individual | Click to enter progress information for an individual IPR date, instead of a date that was pre-defined by your building. The class selector displays. Enter the desired date. If an individual IPR record already exists for this date, ![]() |

The student's ID number.
Name of the student. Click on a student's name to open the Student Details drawer.
The course-section for the student. Multiple sections can display on this page if Multiple mode is on. This column does not display if you are in
Single mode or if you are working with a course that does not have the Multiple and Single mode options.
If there are alerts for the student, the alert icons display in this column.
For more information on alerts, refer to Viewing Student Alerts.
To report progress for a student for an individual IPR date, click to enter a check in this box. This column only displays if you clicked the Individual button to add progress for an individual date, instead of using a date that was pre-defined for your building.
Grade that the student is earning in the course for the mark type. The names and number of mark columns which display are determined by your building's setup.
Enter grades by typing the desired grade or clicking on the down arrow to select the grade from a list of valid grades. You can also click to display mass update options.
To load marks calculated based on Gradebook assignment averages, click Load from Gradebook icon. When you load from Gradebook, any marks that have been entered will be overwritten. If you need to change a student's mark, you should change the student's average for the Interim Progress date in Gradebook and then load from Gradebook again. Note that your building's configuration determines whether you can override averages in Gradebook.
Comment student received for the comment type. For example, the comment that the student received for the Citizenship comment. The names and number of columns which display are determined by your building's setup.

or clicking on the down arrow
to select the comment from a list. to display mass update options.
If the column heading includes* (red asterisk), then you must enter a value for this comment type if you enter a value in any other field for the student.
Attendance total for student for the specific absence type. For example, an attendance column may be used to indicate the number of days a student was tardy for your class. The names and number of columns which display are determined by your building's setup.
Enter the number of days by typing the desired value.
If your building administrator transferred class attendance information to IPRs, then the total reflects absences for the marking period up to the IPR date.
Additional comments or free text describing
the reason for the interim progress report. To toggle between displaying and hiding notes, click Toggle Notes icon.
To spell check all notes fields on the page, click Spell Check icon.
